2.64 lakh new cases in India, positivity rate increased from 13% to 14.7%

Active cases comprise 3.48 per cent of the total infections.

India saw a jump of 6.7 per cent in new Covid cases as it added 2.64 lakh new infections in the last 24 hours, the highest in 239 days. The health ministry said the Covid deaths rose by 315, taking the total death toll to 485,350 now.
