Memphis offensive line prospect Dylan Parham, who is destined for the 2022 NFL Draft, is a player who might assume the Buffalo Bills have an interest. It has since been confirmed.
Parham himself indicated that Buffalo had him in town for a top-30 pre-draft trip. O-lineman Prospect posted a photo on his Instagram account showing him inside the team’s practice facility.
The reason Bill anticipates that he will already be ultimate on their radar is because he has a trigger word for Shaun McDermott’s coaching staff: versatile.
Param can play perfectly in the offensive line and he did so in the Senior Bowl earlier this season. Draft experts predict that he is more likely to play inside the line at the NFL level.
Pro Football Focus specifically calls Param an “athlete” who can move across the field. Proving that, in combination, Parham ran 4.93 40 at 311 pounds. This took him up a few draft boards.
The analytics outlet also rated Param with an overall rating of 78.8 in 2021, while giving him a better score of 90.6 in 2020.
Parm may have to move a little more to the next level in his frame as he lists at 6-foot-3,285 pounds, but he’s still pretty talented. Presently he is likely to be selected on the second day.
On paper, the Bills’ opening five could be pretty set in stone, with only Roger Saffold, Ryan Bates and Ike Boetger to be in guard position. Saffold and Bates appear to be the front runners.
But the Buffalo Ultimate can bring in a rookie as a versatile, next-man up backup before easing the lineup. That’s exactly what the team did with Spencer Brown last season.
With Param in the top-30 journey, Buffalo sees some legitimate interest in him. The Bills are allowed 30 draft prospects in the city for pre-draft workouts, meetings, and more, and they decided to allocate one of them to Param.
