Eve at Universal Studios Hollywood: In addition to touring the tram and going on a ride, Universal Studios will be open until 2 p.m. for New Year’s Eve called EVE which will include party areas where there will be live music featuring Latin, EDM and rock performances. Santa Monica Playhouse: One of the more family-friendly events in Los Angeles is the Santa Monica Playhouse’s New Year’s Eve Music Review. The show brings together theater productions from the past 50 years, so expect a combination of musicals such as jazz, country and romantic ballads. Disco Party: The Shed Hotel in Manhattan Beach will channel the spirit of New York’s famed Studio 54. roaring 20s: The 20s are back and the party is about to roar at Union Station just like a century ago. Get ready and dance to a DJ set by Cut Copy, as well as live jazz ensembles and burlesque dancers. Afternoon Year’s Eve: Kids need to party too, so the Pretend City Children’s Museum is holding its annual New Year’s celebration in the middle of the day.
