5 historical photos of the city of Veracruz

World Photography Day It is celebrated every August 19th. The selection of the date is made through the invention known as the daguerreotype, believed to be the first practice of the photographic process.

The French government stated that on August 19, 1839, Photography was invented in Paris. In this way, the authorities of the aforementioned European country bought this process so that everyone could use it freely and without patents.

How long has it been celebrated? World Photography Day?

The photo is very old, but the celebration of his memorial day is relatively new. The project “World Photo Day” only started in 2009.

It lasted until August 19, 2010, which took place for the first time as World Photography Day. Various portals and media usually celebrate this day with a compilation of photos on different topics.

Today, August 19th, we celebrate World Photography Day. We have collected a number of Stock photos out of town in Veracruz.

In this photo from the early 1960s, we see an overall view of the city from the sea. The domes and towers of the churches and the spire of the City hall

Beautiful panoramic photo of the port of Veracruz, inaugurated in 1902. The photograph taken in 1905 shows land reclaimed from the sea in the foreground. On the left is Promenade IIB with the control pier, and on the right is Promenade IIC, and in the background is the Castle of San Juan of Ulua.

You can see that in this photo from 1910 of Independence Avenue, between Lerdo and Montesinos streets, seen from the parish tower. The back of the Clavijero Theater can be seen in the background on the left.

Here we see the central courtyard of the Trigueros Market in autumn. In this photo from 1913, you can feel the movement that prevailed in the market.

Last in here is panoramic photography Registered since 1914, we have a beautiful aerial view of the city from north to south. In the lower part, you can see the Castle of San Juan de Ula and, in the background, the dunes that surround the city.
