Spend an entire day inside the series you follow, watch up close the actors you admire and be a part of the scenes that will later be projected onto screens around the world. 300 extras take part in the filming of the second season of ‘La Casa del Dragon’, which faces its last day of recording this Thursday in the monumental city of Cáceres.
Being an extra in King’s Landing, this HBO tale features the old town of Cáceres in its price of change. Extras participating in this shoot earned 86.72 euros net (94.78 gross) for each twelve-hour workday. Overtime hours are paid at 12.25 Euro net. On a general scale, the pay of an extra is regulated by agreement and ranges from 50 to 90 euros per day.

The extra people have no choice but to dine in the tents set up at the Foro de los Balbos. They are given first, second and sweets. “If someone doesn’t like what’s there, they have no other choice,” he details. “We wish breaks were better regulated and more food options were given. In Trujillo – where a large number of extras took part in the filming last Thursday – we barely had 12 minutes to eat”. . The days are marathons, they say.

Extras must leave their mobiles when they arrive first thing in the morning at the warehouse at the Chaplaincy Industrial Estate, where they get dressed and feature their own. And they don’t get it back until they are back from the shoot. An emergency number is enabled in case someone tries to contact them while recording.
“The House of the Dragon” has not yet completed casting to select additional additions from Cáceres.
