There are people who, out of a bond with their pets, try to spend the most time in the world with them. From sleeping with them to taking them next to you in the passenger seat in the car. This can be useful as long as it doesn’t endanger the other vehicles on the road if it’s a small pet. But another thing is that the animal in question is a bull.
Although it may seem unbelievable and taken from an animated film, it is absolutely true, as the images that accompany these lines attest. And logically, the man was arrested by the authorities. The events took place on a Nebraska freeway, where the agents showed up after being notified by neighbors who saw a “car with horns.”
And not to see her. Because it was not just any bull but a Watusi, an African breed that is characterized by large antlers. The prisoner’s name is Lee Meyer, and he is from Neligh in the aforementioned state of Nebraska. In retirement, he decided it would be a good idea to take his Watusi bull, Howdy Doody, for a walk. Usually he walks along the roadside alone, but this time he visited the neighboring city of Norfolk.
Car adapted to the animal
To accommodate such an animal, the owner of the vehicle had to cut it in two to leave room on the right side. The drive was relatively quiet, apart from the incredulous looks of the neighbors, until the authorities were alerted by the neighbors. A cop as a co-pilot in the car? Some calls would baffle the police.
And until they got there, they were not surprised. They thought it was a small calf but instead found a huge bull weighing over half a ton with huge horns. The pensioner was released after being arrested and identified, and he finally avoided paying a fine.
Police Captain Chad Reiman confirmed that “officers conducted a traffic stop and corrected some traffic violations that occurred in this particular situation.” After he intervened, authorities urged him to go home with the animal. Waiting for him was his wife, Rhonda, who confirmed to local media that he wasn’t particularly keen on Lee’s giant pet. With the money invested, he says, he could have renovated the kitchen in his home.
The animal is known around the city for its presence in various parades, where it is paraded through the streets with its owner in a vehicle the front of which mimics a bull’s antlers.
