For better health care, the Stainless Steel Company (Acinox Las Tunas) delivered 10 nurseries, 20 stools and 18 IV poles to the Doctor Ernesto Guevara de la Serna General Teaching Hospital.
“Thanks to this donation, we were able to maintain in better conditions the increase in births we have this season with better quality and comfort. will be a greater protection of the Neonatology service. We continue to provide quality and support to the Maternal and Child Care Program (PAMI)”, famous Dr. Marianela Zapata, director of “Guevara”.
The doctor added that the Sancti Spíritus Hospital has shown interest in this type of local solutions in our territory. The generalization of experience is necessary in the face of bad conditions, which make it impossible to import hospital equipment in the country.
This is not the first time that a batch of this kind has arrived at the largest health institution in Las Tunas. On previous occasions, the Steel Industry, taking advantage of the advantages of the circular economy and providing a new use value for steel trimming, has provided similar elements for mother and child care.

Juana Yamilka Viñals Suárez, president of the Assembly of Popular Power of the main municipality, praised the alliances between the factory and “Guevara”, in important moments for the Ministry of Industries.

Acinox Las Tunas, in alliance with the Public Health facility, consolidates forces.
“This has really given sustainability to the institution and other centers here, where the solidarity contribution of the Las Tunas steel industry is also expanded,” added Dr. Marianela.
The Intensive Cardiology services and the Maternity and Neonatal Care wards will benefit from the recent donation made by Acinox Las Tunas.
