After the attack on socialism in Davos, Milei predicted

The echoes of the historic speech of the Argentine president, Javier Milei, at the Davos Forum still linger, warning of the dangers of socialism (which Milei understood in a broad sense as communism).

socialism that, in the words of Argentina’s president, promotes the “bloody agenda of abortion.” “Socialists have abandoned class struggle” to “replace it with other perceived social conflicts that are equally damaging to community life,” such as “radical. feminism” or “man versus nature.”.

Milei added, “I am here to tell you that the West is in danger; the leaders of the West abandoned freedom and decided to choose socialism, which only leads to poverty.”

But Javier Milei leads by example, as he has implemented a series of liberal reforms in his country, Argentina, to try to cut public spending. In fact, according to the consulting firm Analytica in their monthly Fiscal Monitor, it has already reduced public spending by 30%: “Among the items with the greatest change compared to December 2022 are public works (-69.4%), spending on goods and services (-56.6%), retirement and pensions (-38.3%), and social programs (-31.5%). The only thing that showed an increase in year-over-year terms was the transfer to the provinces (+ 6.9%).
