Alina Health, Jaspr Health partner for new suicide prevention initiative

Allina Health and Jaspr Health announced a partnership Wednesday with the goal of reducing suicides in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

This partnership will include the use of Jaspr Health’s suicide prevention digital platform for people who are at risk of suicide and are seeking psychiatric crisis services from one of Elena Health’s twelve emergency departments. Alina Health and Jaspr Health are developing how the procedure will go, but hope the service will enhance care for patients who are receiving treatment through one of the emergency departments.

“This partnership allows Alina Health to serve patients in a way that was not possible before,” Brian Palmer, vice president of mental health and addiction services at Alina Health, said in a statement. “In addition to enhancing and improving the patient experience with state-of-the-art technology, we will be able to engage with patients in times of crisis through evidence-based interventions in our emergency departments. Our ED crisis physicians will be able to connect with patients 24 hours a day, 365 years a year. Days provides excellent care, and this tool will help them help their patients even more effectively.”
