OneWeb has partnered with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), India’s national space agency, for the launch of 36 satellites. The launch will be the company’s 14th launch and the satellites will be launched into orbit by the heavy ISRO rocket, GSLV-Mk III, from the Satish Dhawan Space Center.
With this release, OneWeb will have more than 70% of its Gen 1 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation in orbit As it moves forward to deliver high speed, low latency connectivity services across the globe. Another launch is expected this year and the other three are scheduled early next year to complete the constellation.

OneWeb relaunched its launch program with industry-leading satcom partners and the company’s services are now available in Alaska, Canada, the UK and the Arctic region.
India’s Bharti Enterprises, a leading investor and shareholder of OneWeb, earlier this year announced a distribution partnership with Hughes Communications India Pvt (HCIPL).
