In the middle of the interview, Laura Ingraham said that “we are just learning that US officials are looking into a possible amphibious landing in Odessa, Ukraine.” The clear implication was that it was Russia engaging in a possible amphibious landing as part of its attack, but Trump took it as “such an action” as the United States.
When Ingraham discussed the topic, the interview cut to what was happening at the United Nations. When she returned to her guest, she was ready to use the report to go after one of her favorite targets: the same “American officer.”
“Well, I guess the whole thing would never have happened again. It shouldn’t happen. And it’s a very sad thing,” Trump said. Because you and everyone else should not know about it. They must do that in secret, while not doing so through the great Laura Ingraham. They should do this secretly. No one should know this, Laura. ,
Laura Ingraham says Ukraine’s president telling Putin not to invade his country was a “pathetic performance”. Then Trump would have to explain that the US was not launching an amphibious attack on Ukraine. (Which Trump thought should be kept secret). pic.twitter.com/q9MXu09Zr4

Ingraham quickly cut short and insisted it was not actually reporting to Fox.
“No, they’re Russian – Russian amphibious landings,” Ingraham said.
“Oh, I thought you said we were sending people in,” Trump said.
,No, I haven’t. No, no. No, no, no,” replied Ingraham. “That would be news.”
Had the United States pulled a 180 on that so quickly – and, given the seriousness of such a decision – it would probably deserve more than a brief reference to what US officials were saying about the new development. And yet Trump thought the US military was on the rise and decided to criticize his own government on the basis of his misconception.
Perhaps most important, the prospect of an amphibious Russian attack in Odessa has been discussed for weeks, with Russian ships recently entering the Black Sea near Odessa’s commercial ports. “Eleven amphibious ships ring the Black Sea coast, ready to divert Marines on Ukraine’s southern underbelly,” Washington Post columnist David Ignatius reported on February 13.
Earlier on Wednesday night in the same interview with Ingraham, Trump used the opportunity to suggest that President Biden was missing in action.
Ingraham said: “We understand that President Biden is monitoring the situation at the White House right now and is going to speak to the G-7 tomorrow. … and he is also going to speak to the nation sometime tomorrow.” Your reaction to that approach?”
“I don’t think he’s monitoring,” Trump said. “I think he’s probably sleeping right now.”
Moments later, Trump made it clear that Biden’s predecessor, at least, was not monitoring the situation very closely.
