Anthem offers mountain views from Broomfield’s highest point

Broomfield’s Anthem neighborhood is a collection of three villages that offer homeowners more space and great views.

The anthem appeals to Highlands families. Anthem Ranch provides homes for residents over 55. And Anthem Reserve offers custom and semi-custom homes that sit in larger homes on Broomfield’s highest point.

What’s Attractive?

Community amenities include Siena Reservoir, a natural stone amphitheater, 22 parks, and 48 miles of trails. There are also two community centers in Anthem.

Parkside Center, a resort-style community center, serves residents of Anthem Reserve and Anthem Highlands. It offers everything from yoga and spinning to basketball, swimming and endurance training.

Aspen Lodge, a 32,000-square-foot recreation center, exclusively serves Anthem Ranch residents and offers a fitness center and activities ranging from indoor and outdoor swimming pools to bocce ball and pickleball.

Connie Simato, an 8z real estate agent, lives at Anthem Ranch. The age-restricted community requires at least one resident per household to be 55, and no children under the age of 18 are allowed to live in the neighborhood.

“I love it,” she says. “It’s like one big family here. People get to know each other quickly and are happy to help each other.”

Anthem Ranch offers its residents more than 200 clubs, a summer concert series, and activities such as clam bakes, bourbon tastings, and parties for Halloween, New Year’s, and St. Patrick’s Day.

Anthem Highlands offers activities for kids and families, including summer camps, trick-or-treating events, summer luaus, and Battle of the Blocks.

What’s Available?

While Anthem Ranch and Anthem Highlands have both been built, homes sometimes become available and usually sell out within two to three days, Simato says.

Anthem Ranch, as its name suggests, offers ranch-style homes, some with basements. Prices range from $600,000 to $1.5 million. The size and view of a home determine its price, says Cimato.

Homes in Anthem Highlands are usually large two-story houses with basements. Prices range from $700,000 to $1.6 million.

In Anthem Reserve, Copper Homes Ltd. builds custom and semi-custom ranch and two-story homes that start at $1.2 million and range in size from 2,500 to 3,700 square feet, plus basements.

Who’s going in?

Anthem Highlands appeals to young families or couples planning to start their own family. While Anthem Ranch appeals to seniors who want an active lifestyle, Cimato says.

Anthem Highland homes offer families more room floor plans that range from 2,000 to 6,000 square feet with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Many homes have loft areas and finished basements, offering family rooms for working-from-home parents.

“It’s amazing how beautiful it is. The people who come here have been quite creative, and these homes have space for them to be creative,” says Simato.
