The voices of more than twenty women, including some from our province, are raised in the book The harvest of perseverance, presented this Thursday in Havana. The text systematizes the gender strategy of the Agricultural Intercooperation Support Project (Apocoop) and shows the life stories of Cuban women who form a fundamental part of it.
One of the authors, the journalist of Las Tunas with a master’s degree in Science Zucel de la Peña Mora, when talking about the experience that his connection with the project resulted for him, declared that “on the way of learning that it that ‘militancy’ is the result for me Without a doubt, the best chapter I have experienced in this book. It is an honor to talk to its protagonists, listen to their confessions, see their excited eyes, will increase their metamorphosis of empowerment, one Apocoop is encouraged in the most diverse ways to ensure that there is no return.”
The material recognizes that rural women are leaders, producers, entrepreneurs, service providers and their contributions are essential to the well-being of families, communities and economies.
