In a country as big as the United States, a lot of money is handled across its borders. As a result, it is common for large amounts of dollars to be held in bank and government accounts. Whether it’s pensions, estates, property, or insurance, it’s always a good idea to know what’s in your name before you can claim it.
Welcome to the National Association of Vacation Administrators (NAUPA). In it you can search for balances or non-empty items. Here we show you how to receive money that can be in your name;
step by step
The first step would be to search Google for the words “Vacancy”, but not before the name of the state in which you live and want to be searched. An example would be “Unknown Florida”.

After the search, you need to enter the state government website. Once there you will have to write your last name so that the platform can search for all unknown funds and items that are inside your name. It also works if the name of the company is placed in the event that is sent to one.

Once you have verified that the data is correct, the page will show you all the assets and balances that are in your name and have not been collected. In the list, you should read it carefully and make sure that the address attached to each business is really one where you live. Then you can ask for money.

This is a very simple process to do and available throughout the country, so if you live in multiple states, you will need to do a detailed search.
Accounts and vacancies
Savings bonds: TreasuryDirect has a system that allows you to find out if you have savings bonds that are cashed out.
Financial reasons: There are cases where banks close and money is safe or unclaimed by their users. If so, check the FDIC website. For its part, the National Savings and Credit Cooperative Administration (NCUA) is responsible for repaying unclaimed assets when the cooperative closes. Don’t look into NCUA.
Pensions: Spend if you have an empty pension. The government agency’s Pension Benefit Program (PBGC) allows you to perform this search by last name, company or state.
Mortgage Refund: You need to contact the Department of Housing and Urban Development (TESTA) to find a refund.
Tax refund: Check with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to find out if you have a financial refund.
Unpaid wages: If someone from your current or former employers owes you money, you can claim it through the Department of Labor’s database.
