US prosecutors and their double standards

For 64 years, prosecutors and judges in the United States have applied double standards when prosecuting terrorists who carry out operations in Cuba, despite a string of deaths and injuries. However, when the candle burns in their house, they immediately take strong positions to suppress any action that affects the stability of their system.

A clear example is the harsh sanctions imposed on those involved in the attack on the National Capitol, an unprecedented event that threatened the stability of its national security.

For this reason, on September 5, 2023, when sentencing Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys, to 22 years in prison, US Judge Timothy Kelly stated that the sanction was consistent with the crime that he had committed when his far-right group staged the attack on the United States Capitol, adding: “Severe punishments are necessary to deter future acts of political violence. “This can’t happen again.”

Prosecutors had sought a 33-year prison sentence for Tarrio, viewing him as “the leader of a conspiracy to use violence and disrupt the cornerstone of American democracy.”

The double standards of these lawyers lie in the fact that the Cuban terrorists based in the United States are described as heroes and live peacefully despite having the bloody hands of innocent civilians, including children, like Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles Carlos Alberto’s case was Montaner, Reinol Rodrguez, Gaspar Jiménez, Guillermo Novo Sampoll, ngel de Fana Serrano, Pedro Remón, Osvaldo Mitat, Salvador lvarez Fernández Magriá, and many more, who enjoyed complete impunity until their deaths in Miami.

The more than a thousand people arrested for the attack on the Capitol in Washington are described as far-right terrorists and are accused, among other things, of seditious conspiracy and attempting to create violent chaos, which is why they must be severely punished so that this is not repeated. actions, but they dare not consider them political prisoners.

Due to similar acts in Cuba in 2021, encouraged by the United States through social networks and its anti-revolution subversion laboratories, the propaganda campaign to demonize the island’s government was brutal due to the sanctions imposed. The actions carried out were intended to generate the same violent chaos as in Washington.

Apparently, Cuba does not have the right to impose sanctions so that these acts do not happen again, but the Yankees, owners and masters of the world, can do so, just like countries like Peru, Ecuador, France, and others, without being condemned by anyone, as these governments, despite the dead and wounded they leave in their wake, aim only to “save the cornerstone of democracy.”

In his argument, prosecutor Conor Mulroe told the judge that the acts committed by the attackers were “calculated acts of terrorism,” but when the criminals who looted shopping centers in Cuba were being tried in court, they threw stones on children’s hospitals and also tried. After setting fire to a police station, the perpetrators of these terrorist actions fought “for freedom”.

The double standards of those who sanction Cuba are so great that it has now been revealed during the trial in Washington that Enrique Tarrio “accidentally” is of Cuban origin and lives in Miami, the city of hate, where he grew up in an environment toxic surrounded by the so-called exile, initially consisting of murderers, torturers, thieves and mercenary terrorists.

Yankees prosecutors confirmed that Tarrio organized, directed and encouraged the attack on the Capitol from Miami, writing on social networks: “Do what must be done,” the same thing that happened in Cuba in July 2021, when they promoted the events. vandalism

Cuba has been denouncing for years several Cubans who, through YouTube channels, do exactly the same thing as Tarrio and incite violence every day, calling on people to take to the streets, attack government buildings and even kill any Cuban who opposes the socialist system supported without doing The FBI acts against them because when it comes to attacking the revolution there are no terrorist crimes, nor do they allow them to be sanctioned as is the case in the United States.

This has been the case throughout the 64 years of the Cuban revolutionary process, because hatred goes beyond the limits of the law, which must be applied to those who do not accept that the Cuban people refuse to kneel at their feet, as José Martí did however expressed:

“Honesty is the strength with which you defend what you believe in.”
