OpenAI, the company responsible for the popular ChatGPT, has analyzed the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on different tasks, and the results are surprising.
With the help of the latest machine learning model (LLM), the recently published GPT-4, researchers have studied the potential implications of language models for businesses in the US labor market.
Although the researchers emphasize that the analysis is not a prediction, they found that about 80% of the US workforce could have at least 10% of their workforce affected by Generalized Transformers (GPTs).
The European Commission has set an ambitious target for the green technology industry: 40% of it will be manufactured in the EU by 2030.
The study, conducted by researchers from OpenAI, OpenResearch, and the University of Pennsylvania, “exposes” the role of AI to AI decisions, not distinguishing between job growth and displacement effects.
The researchers determined the “exposure” method of whether access to a GPT-powered system could reduce the time it takes for a person to complete a task by at least 50%.
