Fast bowler Sean Abbott and spinners Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa have returned to the Aaron Finch-led side. Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka ended last week with the visiting team winning the T20I series and the hosts winning the ODI series.
The Test series between the two teams was tied at 1-1. Middle-order batsman Travis Head will miss these series due to the birth of his first child with his partner Jess. Australia will host the T×20 World Cup, the first round of which begins on October 16. Defending champions Australia’s first match of the tournament is against New Zealand on 22 October.
