A warrant was issued in the investigation into the shooting of Helena Hutchins on the set of the film “Rust”.
Baldwin was holding a gun when Hutchins pulled the trigger when he was setting a scene for the film. A bullet hit and killed Hutchins and injured the film’s director Joel Souza.
Hutchins was the cinematographer of the film. Baldwin starred in and was producing the film, which was being shot on the film set at Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe on October 21.
Baldwin’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, said in a statement to USA TODAY Thursday that he has reached an agreement with both the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office and the district attorney to turn over the phone.

Baldwin has stated that he was not responsible for the shooting, despite the fact that he was holding the gun when it was fired.
“Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who it is, but I know it’s not me. Honest to God, if I thought I was responsible, I could have killed myself.” If I thought I was responsible. And I don’t say it lightly, ”he said in an interview in December.
