Barcelona Femenino has already had no major problems with most of their stars, beating Tigres 1-0 in their last friendly in Mexico.
The team led by Jonatan Giráldez, using most of their stars as starters, managed to impose their hierarchy on the cats that came to the game with most of the shooting, but still, they were overtaken by the European champions.
Giráldez lined up with players like Alexia Putellas, Mapi León, Caroline Graham-Hansen, Sandra Paos, Jana, Claudia Pina, Patri, and Ingrid Engen who made a difference on the field, especially in the first half.
Barcelona was supremely superior in the first 45 minutes and showed it in the 18th minute when Alexia and Claudia Pina caused chaos together in the Mexican penalty area.
Patellas aggressively entered the penalty area and assisted Pina with a powerful pass. The Barcelona 6 tried to score with a shot, but they eventually covered it.
However, Pina was lucky and used the rebound to finally send the ball into the net and make it 1-0 for the Culés.
Tiger tried, but the goal was not reached!
Already in the second part, there were changes in the line-up for both teams. Tigres benefited from the departure of several Barcelona players and managed to eat up meters to reach the opponent’s goal.
Jaqueline Ovalle created a lot of danger on the left wing but was unlucky in deciding to level.
Eventually, Barcelona managed to add ice to the game in the final minutes, thwarting any intentions of the Cats to level the game.
With this result, Barcelona Femenino left Mexico undefeated after beating América at Azteca Stadium and Tigres at Volcán.
