Bay Area sex traffickers allegedly negotiated $55k fee with accused pedophile for a 10-year-old girl, had young woman pose as a teen

MARTINEZ – In August 2019, authorities say an Oakland-based dental surgeon named Cassidy Lavorini-Doyle approached a Concord man with a suggestion: Lavorini-Doyle wanted a 10-year-old to rape at least one day and was willing to pay big money. …

The Concorde man was well aware of Lavorini-Doyle’s interest in children, authorities said. Over the past year, Lavorini-Doyle allegedly forked out tens of thousands of dollars to have sex with a 19-year-old woman whom the Concord man and others allegedly convinced Lavorini-Doyle to be just 14 years old. According to police statements in court records, Concorde allegedly sent Lavorini-Doyle a photograph of a prepubescent girl and told him that it was “negotiating” with her mother about a fee.

Lavorini-Doyle allegedly paid $ 55,000 to arrange the meeting, but the deal was never completed, according to Contra Costa County authorities. The police are still investigating whether these negotiations were just another ploy to deprive Lavorini-Doyle of his money, or, in fact, a deal was already being prepared for the sale of a small child.

Last December, the Contra Costa County Attorney’s Office tentatively refused to press charges against four members of the group, but asked Walnut Creek police to continue their investigation. Police investigators have not yet returned to the district attorney to discuss the new documentation. Since they have not been charged, the newspaper does not reveal their names.

But last year, police served several search warrants across California as they investigated the group and Lavorini-Doyle. This investigation began in December 2019 in the parking lot of the Walnut Creek office complex in Lennon Lane, where Lavorini-Doyle allegedly approached two young sisters – the daughters of a janitor who worked in the area – and tried to kidnap them. and then offered their mother $ 30,000 when they resisted, authorities said.

Walnut Creek police briefly detained Lavorini-Doyle, who police said claimed the incident was a “cultural misunderstanding” but boarded a flight to Cambodia the next day. During a pre-flight check-up, he allegedly told border guards that he was in Cambodia for a dental conference. He was arrested on his return to San Francisco in December 2019 and has been in jail ever since, as the court transcripts show.

Lavorini-Doyle is currently under federal prosecution, and last May agreed to plead guilty to attempted child sex trafficking, attempted child pornography, traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual activity and obtaining child pornography, according to court records. A charge of trafficking in persons for the purpose of sexual exploitation alone can have a life sentence. US District Judge Charles Breuer will hand down Lavorini-Doyle’s verdict later this month.

After Lavorini’s arrest, Doyle – apparently hoping to bribe himself with the local police – offered to help authorities track down child traffickers in prostitution in the Bay Area, the court file said. He told them that since mid-2018, he had been dealing with a man who used the fake pseudonym Joseph Wilson, who, according to authorities, turned out to be a Concord man.

Police investigated Lavorini-Doyle’s home and found secret recording equipment, hundreds of child pornography videos, hypodermic needles, infant formula bottles, plastic zippers and a meat knife, police said. The child pornography cache contained photographs of the baby, as the authorities wrote in the court records.

Among the child pornography files were videos that featured Lavorini-Doyle, a special agent for the National Security Investigation Department, referred to in the trial transcripts. One of them contained a teenage girl posing as a minor, while the other two contained an unidentified person who was apparently a child. According to the court records, the videos were marked as “11 years old” and “12 years old”.

In July 2018, Lavorini-Doyle allegedly told police that he had asked a member of the group to find “younger girls” for him. Authorities said she, in turn, introduced him to a 19-year-old boy who posed as a teenager. The following month, Lavorini-Doyle was introduced to a Concord man who allegedly arranged for him to date a 16-year-old boy. But at their meeting in Concord, Lavorini-Doyle told police he was “not attracted to” the teenager and withdrew it, but still paid $ 5,000 for all the problems, authorities said.

Lavorini-Doyle allegedly told police that he raped another 16-year-old in Stockton after arranging a meeting with the group.

After Lavorini-Doyle’s arrest at San Francisco airport – before the charges against him were made public – the Concorde man allegedly called Lavorini-Doyle’s father and threatened to “send a video with his full name to a second news channel,” authorities say … said in the minutes of the court. He also allegedly referred to the “southern mountains of Gondor”, a passphrase he and Lavorini-Doyle allegedly coined to discuss human trafficking over the phone. The police believe it was an extortion attempt, but the money was never paid.

“If he wants to risk his freedom just to deceive me, that’s fine with me,” the Concorde man allegedly said in a text message to his father.
