Biffy Clyro named Best British Band at the annual Kerrang! music awards.
The Scottish rock band defeated Neck Deep, Loathe, Venom Prison and Franker Carter And The Rattlesnakes in the hotly contested category at a ceremony held at Shoreditch Town Hall on Thursday.
Formed in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, the band consists of Simon Neil, James Johnston and Ben Johnston and together they have released nine studio albums, the latest being The Myth Of The Happily Ever After was released last October.

Members of the punk rock royalty Green Day have been honored with this award for a career spanning 13 albums and 70 million records sold worldwide.
While American rock band Fall Out Boy has won an inspiration award for over 20 years in the industry and seven studio albums, making them the sixth album by Kerrang! total premium.
Twenty One Pilots were awarded the best live performance and Poppy beat the Eurovision 2021 winners Maneskin to take home the best international performance.

Bring Me The Horizon won the best gong award for their track Die4u, defeating Rammstein and Fever 333.
Meanwhile, Bob Whelan beat American star Halsey and Every Time I Die to win Best Album and The Nova Twins took home Best British Breakthrough after releasing their Supernova album.

The ceremony also inducted American band Weezer into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame commemorating the group’s 30th anniversary.
