Bill Cosby says Judy Huth was not in Playboy mansion when alleged sexual assault happened

Bill Cosby claims that there is no evidence that Judy Huth was ever at the Playboy Mansion, where he alleges that the comedian sexually assaulted her in 1974 when she was just a teenager.

In court documents filed late Friday, Cosby’s attorneys asked a Los Angeles judge for an emergency hearing, claiming Huth had filed his case against Cosby less than two weeks before the start of his civil case. The story had changed.

Cosby’s attorney, Michael G. Friedman said the comedian would be at “irreparable damage” if the two sides do not meet before a judge to discuss this new development before jury selection begins on May 24.

“The defendant is filing its motion for the termination of sanctions on May 13, 2022 on the basis of the fact that for the first time, a few days before the last pretrial status conference in this case, and one week before the start of the trial, the plaintiff (hand) now admits that she was not 15 years old when she was ‘abused’ by the defendant at the Playboy Mansion and that the incident did not take place in 1974 as she has long claimed,” Friedman said in the motion. wrote.

Cosby’s other attorney, Jennifer Bonzen, said that Playboy Enterprises provided books of the mansion’s tour and a calendar of events from 1974—none of which allegedly featured Huth or his friend Donna Samuelson, as they claimed. did.

They are requesting the judge to allow Playboy’s records to stand trial as evidence to counter Huth’s claims. Cosby’s lawyers also said that a Playboy Mansion employee “couldn’t say anything about the security protocols of the mansion in 1974,” and had no other information because “he lacked personal knowledge of the records. “

According to court documents, Huth was 15 years old and Samuelson was 16 when they first met Cosby while he was shooting a movie in a Los Angeles park. The women claim that Cosby asked them how old they were during that initial meeting.

A few days later, Cosby invited the teenagers to the Playboy Mansion and reportedly told them they were 19 if asked. While in the mansion, Huth claims that Cosby sexually abused her by “putting his hand under her pants, and then taking her hand in his hand and performing a sexual act on himself without her consent”.

In their latest filing, Cosby’s lawyers said Huth is now claiming the alleged incident happened a year later than he initially claimed.

“The plaintiff now has a whole new story: she claims the incident happened in February and/or March 1975 – shortly before her 17th birthday,” Bonjin wrote in the affidavit. “Since the trial is scheduled to begin on May 24, 2022, the Court has sufficient good reason to determine the defendant’s motion for a hearing at a shorter time before the commencement of the trial.”

Requests for comment from Huth’s attorneys – Gloria Allred, Nathan Goldberg and John West – have not been returned.

Cosby’s crisis management representative, Andrew Wyatt, told The Post that his client plans to continue defending his name against Huth’s claims. He said that in the past, an insurance firm made backdoor deals to settle other civil sexual assault claims, including one with model Janice Dickinson, when Cosby was still behind bars in Pennsylvania.

“Gloria (Allred) has asked for a settlement of the garden variety on several occasions and we have said no,” Wyatt said. “When you are innocent – as proven by Mr. Cosby – you say no. They have shown Americans that when you are innocent of something, you fight to the end. … We want to Let people see that this case has nothing to do with sexual harassment. It has to do with racism in every form.”

Cosby was convicted in 2018 of drugging and molesting Temple University employee Andrea Constand. But the Pennsylvania Supreme Court reversed that conviction because of a 2005 non-prosecution agreement that Cosby signed, before agreeing to oust him in another civil case.

Cosby was released from a Pennsylvania prison on June 20, 2021, after serving two years of a sentence of three to 10 years.
