Britain announces a new public holiday in honor of King Charles III

The British government announced yesterday extra new leave (bank holiday) that will honor Coronation of King Carlos III. New bank holiday will be next day Monday 8th May 2023, Just two days after the monarch’s coronation at Westminster Abbey, which will take place on 6 May.

New British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunakdeclared that (as happened with) Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953) will be an opportunity for families and communities to celebrate this event together. And he added: “The coronation of a new emperor is a unique moment for our country.”
