Williamson resigned from his position on Tuesday. Following a complaint against him for alleged harassment and intimidation against an officer during his tenure as Defense Minister.
The complaint was made public in the newspaper ‘The Guardian’ on Monday. A former senior official assured that the politician had even asked him to slit his throat when he was defense minister (2017-2019), after years of being silent about Williamson’s alleged remarks against him.
