“One of the benefits of being able to be nominated for a Tony is that you have the opportunity to perform at the Tony and introduce our show to so many people who are avid theatergoers,” said Leah Vollak, Lead Producer.

Another show to bounce back after Tony was The Strange Loop, which grossed $845,313 in the week ending June 19, up $168,998 from the previous week and a new high for the show.

On June 12, the Tony Awards were watched by 4.22 million viewers, making a comeback for Broadway after last year’s September show, which was watched by 2.75 million people. Many were amazed on Twitter to see Frost moonwalk during his performance of “Smooth Criminal”.

“I was so proud to be a part of this season and be part of this community because this community is so resilient, dedicated and willing to create,” said Wollak, whose other Broadway credits include Shuffle, Tootsie and the upcoming Almost Famous. .
