GILROI, California ( Associated Press) – The body of a happy face victim has been removed after nearly 30 years of sitting on a California highway, officials said Monday.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said Patricia Skeple, known as “Blue Pacheco” for her clothes, was in Colton, Oregon, until her genetic makeup was revealed last week.
Skiple was about 45 years old when her friends and family, known as Patty, were killed, the sheriff’s office said.
With the help of the DNA Do project, a nonprofit group that uses volunteers, the identities of people listed as “Jane Do” or “John Do” by possible relatives were identified by DNA profiles.
Skeple’s corpse It was discovered on June 3, 1993, near the California State Line 152 in the Gilroy area of San Francisco Bay.
The cause of her death is unknown at this time.
A.D. In 2006, Keith Hunter Jasper wrote to the county prosecutor’s office and reported that he had sexually assaulted and killed a woman near the highway.

Jessper confessed to killing eight women in California, Washington, Oregon, Florida, Nebraska, and Wyoming between 1990 and 1995. He is currently serving four life sentences in Oregon without the possibility of parole.
