Anaheim, Calif. – The Walt Disney Entertainment Giant announced in late July that all non-union and salaried employees must be vaccinated by the end of September and all new employees must be vaccinated before work can begin.
In August, the company further announced that it had reached an agreement with the union that all unionized employees at Walt Disney World in Florida must be vaccinated by October 22.
To protest the vaccine order, a small group of Disneyland employees and local residents gathered in front of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California on September 2nd.
Some held home-made banners that read: “Freedom of Choice” “No Job, No Job” “My Body, My Choice” “No Forced Vaccine!” “Where there is risk, there must be choice!” “NO Vaxx Mandate.”
The Epoch Times spoke with some of them about the reasons for rejecting the Covid-1 vaccine.
Disney employee Anthony Lange said vaccination should be his choice. People should have the freedom to get the vaccine and the right to refuse it.
“If you want to get vaccinated, great! I decide not to, but my job will not be threatened because of that,” Lange told The Epoch Times.
“There are a lot of risks to vaccines and we still don’t know what the long-term ones are,” Lange said.
He explained that he had medical conditions that put him at greater risk of complications from the vaccine. But his doctor told him he would not write a medical exemption for him because if he did, the state would approve him. So now he thinks he has no choice.
Laurie, a woman who just gave her first name and said she was a psychologist, told The Epoch Times that there was a lack of authentic reports supporting the COVID-19 vaccine, which is still experimental.
“I did a lot of research; Our family, we are all researchers, ”he said.
Although all drugs have side effects, Laurie said, he has seen a professional study that reports annoying side effects of the Covid-1 vaccine.
“It takes a long time to figure out what the consequences of these vaccines are,” Laurie said, adding that hopefully none of this will happen, because so many people have been vaccinated. “But we are not willing to risk our families or our own lives with future problems,” he said.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website, adverse reactions to the Covid-1 vaccine include blood clots, myocarditis, pericarditis, Guillain-Barr সিন syndrome (GBS) which can lead to paralysis, and even death.
From December 1, 2020 to September 20, 2021, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) reported 8 deaths among people receiving the Covid-1 vaccine in the United States.
As of September 15, the VAERS Covid-1 vaccine has reported 1,491 cases of myocarditis or pericarditis among people who have been vaccinated, who are 30 years of age or younger. Of these, 890 have been confirmed by the CDC and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
While announcing the Covid-1 vaccine mandate, Disney said the health and safety of their workers is always paramount during epidemics. All workers need to be vaccinated because the COVID-19 vaccine protects people from acute reactions to the virus, according to scientists and health officials.
A new study by researchers led by Dr. Tracy Hoyge, an epidemiologist at the University of California, Davis, found that teenagers were more likely to be hospitalized due to the two major Covid-1 vaccines used in the United States, Pfizer and Modern.
In addition, an internal CDC report from July 29 stated that vaccinated people could still be infected and spread the highly contagious Delta variant.
President Joe Biden signed an executive order in early September requiring all federal workers to be vaccinated. Immediately, at least 19 governors and two state attorney generals issued statements opposing the Biden administration’s vaccine order.
Florida Governor Ron de Santis, Sept. 1, banned all compulsory vaccinations in Florida to protect individual independence.
The Epoch Times contacted Walt Disney for comment but received no response before publication time.
