Cardi B’s sister’s stylists owe $34K on consigned designer clothes: lawsuit

Two celebrity stylists were loaned more than $35,000 worth of clothes for Cardi B’s younger sister Hennessey Carolina but refused to return or pay for most of the designer clothes, a new lawsuit alleges.

Stylists Charles Reynolds and Xavier Banks obtained 52 garments worth $35,306 from luxury fashion retailer Dover Street Market on April 14, saying the garments “were being taken on consignment for purchase by their client Hennessey Carolina,” according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. In the past week.

Banks and Reynolds were loaned 52 clothing items worth $35,306 from Dover Street Market in April that were on consignment for Hennessey Carolina.

The stylist duo agreed to buy or return the clothes by April 21, but instead gave some of the clothes to rapper Melody “Mellowrackz” Faith to rock out at Coachella, and “personally wore” pieces to the music festival. , states the presentation.

Faith “has now refused to return the merchandise,” the suit alleges.

On April 27, nearly a week after the clothes were returned, only six of the items were returned to the Kips Bay luxury store and four of the pieces were damaged, Dover Street Market says.

To date, the fashion duo has yet to return or pay for the 49 damaged and unreturned pieces totaling $34,331, the suit alleges.

“Dover Street Market works with many industry leading stylists on this shipment and unfortunately these stylists abused the privilege,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

Faith is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The lawsuit also does not name Carolina as a defendant or present any charges against her.

Reynolds said the case does not involve his client Carolina, the 26-year-old sister of “WAP” rapper Cardi B, who appeared on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

The stylist claimed he took Faith’s clothes, who allegedly took them and never paid for them.

“Mellow Rackz is the person who stole the clothes,” Reynolds told The Post, adding that he hired a lawyer and filed a police report against him.

Similarly, Banks claimed, “Mellow Rackz is a thief and she’s the reason all of this is happening.”

Banks accused rapper Melody “Mellowrackz” Faith of stealing his and Reynolds’ clothes.

“Mellowracks is really scamming its way to the top and using everyone it can,” the stylists’ rep said in a statement. “Celebrity hairstylists Charles Reynolds and Xavier Banks are his latest victims.”

“The celebrity style team has been sued by the Dover Street Group for failing to return the clothes they put out for Mellowrackz. The rapper who pretended she was going into a room to sort through clothes and decide what she wanted to wear to Coachella left Banks and Reynolds in the rehearsal never to return with the clothes,” the statement states.

The duo’s attorney, Ezra Salami, said in May that legal notices sent to Faith and her manager went unanswered and that the couple now plans to sue.

A representative for Faith did not immediately return a request for comment. Could not find a number for Faith.
