Former FTX CEO Sam “SBF” Bankman-Fried has ambitions to become President of the United States, according to his ex-girlfriend and business partner, Caroline Ellison.
Appearing in court on October 10 to testify against Bankman-Fried, Ellison reportedly SAYS that the former CEO of FTX wants to be the President of the United States in the future. The statement follows the end of their personal relationship, as the two continue to work together in their respective leadership roles at Alameda Research and FTX until November 2022.
Ellison admitted to fraud during his time at Alameda under Bankman-Fried, saying he “built the systems” that led the hedge fund to take approximately $14 billion from the exchange. His testimony on the fifth day of the SBF criminal trial was part of the prosecutors’ plea deal.
