NEW YORK – A Colombian actor and his wife, a well-known businesswoman, were the victims of an armed robbery on a highway that connects New York to New Jersey. The robbery was recorded by witnesses.
The victims, Colombian actor Carel Lasso and his wife, well-known businesswoman Milady Francisco, were inside the vehicle at dawn on December 27 after leaving an event in Upper Manhattan.
The couple were exiting the 7S on a New Jersey freeway when two men emerged from behind a black Mercedes Benz that pulled up in front of them, each holding a gun and wearing masks. Only his eyes were visible.
“One came from his side and the other came from my side and pointed a gun at my head. they told us Open the door, open the door When I opened the door he told us: where is the money Where’s the money?” Carol Lasso, a victim of the robbery, told Telemundo 47.

The attack was recorded by witnesses and victims still describe the moment with fear and highlight the danger in the streets.
