CBPP offers training in Spanish to enroll in medical coverage plans

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), the think tank that analyzes the impact of federal and state government budget policies, has made Spanish-language resources available to Latinos to help them enroll and navigate the coverage transition for Medicaid and Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace Coverage.

With open enrollment starting in a few weeks, CBPP is making the “Beyond the Basics” project available to users, which provides training and resources explaining the eligibility and enrollment processes for Medicaidthe Children’s Health Insurance Program, and the ACA marketplace.

The project offers a series of training materials and technical assistance in Spanishdesigned to assist Navigators, Certified Application Counselors, and other enrollment assistants working with Spanish-speaking clients.

In fact, the Beyond the Basics project presents a Live webinar in Spanish on Thursday, October 26 at 2 pm ET on health coverage enrollment topics most relevant to people who are immigrants or who live in mixed immigration status households: Helping Hispanic Consumers Get Health Coverage: Tips and Best Practices.

The webinar will also cover any new developments in Medicaid and marketplace eligibility for people who are immigrants, including the latest on granting legal presentation status to people with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
