It’s time for an update on one of our country’s best-selling SUVs. The Chevrolet Captiva 2024 renews its image and, above all, strengthens its safety equipment to attract new customers looking for an affordable option with three rows of seats in the compact SUV category. Here we tell you what’s new and what it costs in Mexico.
He rredesignsIt’s very easy. Externally, we only find some changes to the grille, bumpers, and taillights, as well as a new design for the 18-inch aluminum wheels. It is available in five body colors: metallic steel, red, black, white, and silver.
Its range consists of the three versions that we already knew: LT 5 passengers, LT 7 passengers, and J Premier. Among the novelties is the arrival of a 7-inch digital cluster for all versions, as well as a 360-degree camera and automatic air conditioning for the top-of-the-range. Other highlights include a 10.4-inch screen, a panoramic roof, a smart key, and a driver’s seat with power adjustment.
The most important thing about this update comes when you talk about security. From now on, all versions of the 2024 Chevrolet Captiva will have six airbags instead of four, in addition to the electronic stability control and tire pressure monitoring already present on the previous models.
On the mechanical level, there are no changes. For Mexico, the Captiva keeps those 1.5-liter turbo engines, rated at 144 hp and 184 lb-ft, mated to a CVT automatic transmission. Chevrolet speaks of consumption of up to 12.6 km/l in the city and 19.4 km/l on the highway.
