“Chito” Vera can no longer enter the octagon with the Ecuadorian flag, but every day the tricolor becomes more visible at UFC events

Previously, manabits have appeared in arenas or at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with the Ecuadorian flag. The same thing happened with the ceremonial weighing (kareo).

When Dana White was asked during the post-UFC 274 press conference if the UFC had banned fighters from wearing flags, the promotion boss had a short and simple answer.

“Yes,” he said.

“You know why,” he added when the subject was brought up. “Let’s not even play this fucking game.”

White is usually not shy when asked uncomfortable questions. But in this case, he was rather silent.
