The institutions are participating in a program that will create much-needed health managers.
Keuka College’s latest educational partnership creates a pipeline for the growing and rewarding field of health care management.
The college this month finalized an agreement that will pave the way for Keuka College graduates to enter Clarkson University’s Healthcare Master of Business Administration program.
Graduates will enter a field that is both growing and lucrative. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that medical and healthcare manager jobs will increase by 32% over the next eight years. Equally impressive: The median salary in the field tops $100,000 a year.
“This degree is a natural extension to our existing health science and community health and wellness programs,” explained Doctor. Chris AlterioFounding Dean of Keuka College’s School of Health and Human Services. “It provides for graduate studies which will create more employment opportunities.”
Clarkson’s MBA in Healthcare Management program, which is offered online or at the university’s Capital Region Campus, Schenectady, NY, places nearly 100% of its graduates in the workforce. It is one of only 10 programs in the country to offer both AACSB and CAHME certification – reflecting the highest standards of academic excellence in both healthcare and business management.
“Clarkson and Keuka have had a long and important partnership with graduate business programs over the years,” said Joshua LaFev, director of graduate business programs at the David D. Reh School of Business in Clarkson. “With the strong academic programs at Keuka College, this partnership was naturally apt. This program will offer a seamless transition from an undergraduate to an MBA in health care management so that Clarkson and Keuka together can be prepared to be leaders for the healthcare industry.
This partnership benefits Clarkson by providing qualified students for its MBA program. It benefits KUKA College graduates by providing a quick admissions process and an attractive menu of scholarship options. In addition, the programs are aligned so that several Keuka College graduate courses meet the graduate requirements in Clarkson’s MBA program.
“We put a great deal of thought and care into our educational partnership,” said Keuka College Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Brad Fuster, “Our latest agreement with Clarkson demonstrates that from financial incentives to teaching ability, success graduates are likely to achieve the level of mindfulness.”
Graduates will drop Clarkson’s David D. Ray School of Business – Listed by US news and world report With your choice of career options – one of the best 150 business schools in the country.
“Our nationally ranked program has been developing key healthcare professionals since 1979,” said Clarkson Professor Amber Stephenson, Associate Professor of Healthcare Management. “With a placement rate of nearly 100%, our alumni go on to find success in a wide variety of organizations including hospitals, health systems, group therapy practices, health plans, technology and consulting firms.”
Keuka College’s agreement with Clarkson University is the latest in a growing list of partnerships that fast-track graduate-level studies that lead to careers in nursing, social work, physical and occupational therapy, pharmacology, chiropractic medicine and many more health. Goes – related areas.
