Compton rapper shot dead in Inglewood

INGLWOOD, California. A man named by rapper Compton Slim 400 was shot dead in media reports, fatally injured in Inglewood, and police were investigating on December 9.

According to reports from the scene, the shooting occurred around 8:00 pm Wednesday on Manchester Boulevard and Seventh Avenue.

According to CBS2, patrol officers heard the shots and reacted by finding a man with gunshot wounds on the ground. The police did not release details of their investigation.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, medics sent to the scene at the request of the Inglewood police took the man to the hospital.

According to media reports, the man was pronounced dead in the hospital.

TMZ.com reported that the fatally injured person was 33-year-old rapper Compton, known as the Slim 400. The person’s name has not been released by authorities.

According to TMZ, Slim was born to a military family in Germany, moved to Los Angeles in early childhood, and grew up in Compton. The rapper was later discovered and signed by the now defunct music label Pu $ haz Ink – the same one popularized by YG and DJ Mustard.

“Slim narrowly escaped death in the summer of 2019 when he was shot nine times in Los Angeles,” TMZ reports. “Slim claimed to have been ambushed during the attack while visiting his family in Compton.”
