CONALEP Tecate students represent Baja California in the national competition in robotics

To develop the creativity and innovation of young people attending higher secondary education, as well as their teachers, the College of Technical Professional Education of Baja California (CONALEP BC), participates in its students in the career of Industrial Electromechanics, in the 1st National Robotics Competition at the National College of Technical Education.

The competition was held at the facilities of the FESTO company, in Mexico City, with the participation of 12 representative delegations from the states of the Mexican Republic, to use a “bionic kit”, where the tasks were addressed. creative by binary methods.

Irma Martnez Manrquez, state director of Conalep Baja California, stated that opportunities like this help students strengthen skills and abilities such as collaboration, communication, organization, critical thinking, following instructions, etc., in favor of the development and growth of learning.

During their participation they demonstrated their skills in kit assembly speed, creativity, and dexterity, to demonstrate the operation of the binary fish model in which they had to participate.

The students, Abner Joel Mondragon Arriaga, Jairo Aldair Pino Delgado, Adriel Alexander Meraz Ros, and teacher Edgar Rubn Reyes Sánchez, passed a selection filter at the State level, through virtual regional qualifications, where they received training from July when registrations opened and as a result, they had an amazing participation.

During their stay, in addition to living with colleagues from other states, they had the opportunity to participate in the conference “Mexico to space”, given by the director of education and dissemination of Space Science and Technology, in the Mexican Space Agency (AEM), Mario Manuel Arreola Santander.

The director of the state of CONALEP BC, Irma Martínez Manárquez, says that this subsystem aims to stimulate students’ attitudes of search, analysis, and organization, thus contributing to the quality of education at the high school level.

It should be noted that FESTO is a German automation company that manufactures and sells pneumatic, electrical control systems and drive technology for factories and process automation.
