Cosentino has signed a development agreement with the Jacksonville City Council in Florida (USA) to acquire the land where its new factory will be located, involving an investment of approximately $270 million (249.5 million euros at current exchange rates) . ), according to a statement issued this Wednesday by the Spanish firm.
In the absence of specifying a final schedule for the project, the start of works is scheduled for early 2025, with a tentative completion date of late 2028.
Thus, the manufacturer of surfaces for architecture and design will expand its capacity beyond the industrial park in Almería and the granite processing plant in Brazil.
Cosentino explained that the project will make it possible to meet the sector’s demand “more effectively” in the medium and long term, in addition to providing a more efficient service, meeting the demand of its sales market and reducing its carbon footprint.

North America generated 59% of the group’s total billing last year. The company has 60 infrastructure in this market, divided into 45 warehouses, 10 showrooms, 5 distribution centers and more than 1,400 employees. In addition, according to the company, around 180 direct jobs will be created in the first phase of the new factory project.
The facilities will be located on more than 130 hectares, 30 kilometers from the Port of Jacksonville and minutes from Interstate 10. Cosentino believes the location will help “optimize and streamline distribution channels.”
According to the company, the industrial project will have the same “high standards and practices” in terms of innovation, sustainability and safety as the current Constantino factories.
For the period 2023-2025, Cosentino plans to invest around 400 million euros, mostly oriented towards the expansion and increase of its production capacity.
