Johnny Depp’s multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard continues in Virginia. The court heard from the actor’s sister Christy Dembrowski, who also served as his business manager, and his artist friend and neighbor Isaac Baruch, who gave an especially colorful and emotional testimony.
Depp claims 2018 article written by Heard Washington Post – in which she talked about domestic violence against women – implicit Depp, her ex-husband, was an abuser.
Although the 35-year-old did not name the actor, Depp’s lawyers say Heard’s allegations have made it difficult for the 58-year-old to play the roles he previously held.
Depp is known for starring in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd And Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Hurd has appeared in titles including aquaman And drive Angry,
He is seeking $50m (£38.2m) in damages during the trial in Fairfax County District Court. Meanwhile, Heard has filed a defamation suit against Depp, whom she divorced in 2017 for nuisance.

Depp’s tearful friend pleads with couple to ‘get healed’
In a defamation case against Amber Heard brought by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, a former neighbor of the couple became emotional during extensive testimony about their friendship with the pair.
Isaac Baruch, who first met Depp as a teenager in Florida and had become a longtime friend, lived in one of five penthouse lofts in the East Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles, owned by the actor.
At one point on Wednesday, Heard’s attorney, Elaine Breedhoft, asked him if he was angry with his client after the couple broke up and charges were leveled against Depp.

Depp’s friend says actor and wife were a ‘loving’ couple
A friend of Johnny Depp testified as a witness against Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard on the third day of the defamation trial.
Isaac Baruch was called to testify Wednesday (April 13) in Fairfax, Virginia. He took the stand after cross-examination for Mr. Depp’s sister, Kristy Dembrowski.
Mr Baruch said he first got to know Mr Depp when the two were teenagers in Florida, playing in bands. He testified for a few hours, giving colorful testimony that sometimes elicited smiles and laughter from others in court – including Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard.
