The Supreme Court of the Nation (SCJN) is authorized to process claims filed by the Department of Public Education (SEPT) and that Legal Adviser to the Presidency against the consent of the minister through whom free textbooks are distributed in Chihuahua.
The Legal Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic requested that their challenges against Minister Luis Mara Aguilar Morales be submitted to a plenary decision and be substantiated and resolved as a matter of priority.
In this argument, the federal government is requesting that the Supreme Court be given the power to refer matters to the plenary that it believes should be heard by that body.
“The present matter will be decided by the United Court of the Nation’s Supreme Court. It shall be in accordance with the provisions of points 2, Sections I, 5 and 6 of General Plenary Agreement 1/2023 of January.” twenty-six, two thousand twenty-three, provided that the ministers who are members of this Supreme Court are empowered to request the referral to plenary of matters which, in their opinion, should be dealt with by that body.”
From reading the complaint letter, it appears that the petitioner asks for this matter to be submitted to the decision of the plenary so that it can be justified and resolved as a matter of priority.
It should be noted that the referral request is directed against the governor’s Constitutional Dispute 400/2023 chihuahuaMara Eugenia Campos, who stopped the spread of the textbooks
The files were handed over to Ministers Arturo Zaldvar and Jorge Mario Pardo Rebolledo, respectively, for analysis.
