Louis van Gaal criticized FIFA for its “ridiculous” decision to allow Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup and claimed the governing body’s stated reasons are “nonsense*t”.
In December 2010 it was announced that the competition would be held in Qatar, causing outrage throughout the football world.
Reports that thousands of migrant workers have died during the construction of stadiums in Qatar, as well as the country’s withdrawal from the tournament as a result of human rights abuses and concerns about the safety of LGBT fans.

Several players and coaches have raised their voices against the decision to play the World Cup in Qatar, and Netherlands boss van Gaal is the latest to express his anger.
“I’ve already mentioned it in the last press conference. I think it’s funny that there’s a World Cup,” he told reporters on Monday.
“We’re playing in a country where FIFA says they want to develop football there. It’s bullshit, but it doesn’t matter. It’s about money, about business interests. In FIFA it’s about It matters.
“Why do you think I am not on any committee of FIFA or UEFA with my expertise? Because I have always opposed such organizations.
“I can say that in Qatar later, but that won’t help the world get rid of this problem.”
Van Gaal latest to speak
Several players and national teams have already publicly criticized Qatar’s decision to award the World Cup.
Last year, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany protested Qatar’s human rights record by wearing T-shirts with the slogan on the field before World Cup qualifying matches.
Meanwhile, Germany midfielder Toni Kroos said last March that giving the country the hosting rights was “wrong”.
FIFA met representatives of Amnesty International in Zurich last week to discuss the “situation of migrant workers in Qatar”.
The World Cup is starting from November 21 and will go on till December 18.
