The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba convene the event II. Cultural Festival with Cubans living abroad, “Cuba goes with me, from November 2nd to November 12th, 2023.
This edition will be a new opportunity for Cuban artists and intellectuals living in other countries to share their art with the Cuban public and those who visit us. Based on the cultural richness that unites us, we will highlight the work of cultural figures with established careers abroad and talented young people who carry our identity.
The event will be held in a hybrid format (in person and virtually). The presentations will take place at all art events, with a focus on programming weekends in theaters and art spaces in Havana. In addition, there are visits to art schools and community projects, as well as competitions for children and young people of Cuban origin living abroad.
A novelty in this edition will be the development of a forum where participants will be offered an update on the existing legislation to propose and promote cooperation and business projects in the field of cultural and creative industries in our country.
The Ministry of Culture ensures the spaces for presentations and exhibitions of works of fine art, the artistic production of music and theater performances, as well as the logistical security of the rehearsals. In addition, it will coordinate television broadcasts through Canal Clave and other commercial channels of Cuban television.
“Cuba goes with me” will be the main concept of the presentations and messages from artists and writers who are unable to attend and wish to address the public at the event. Interested parties can contact the respective Cuban diplomatic missions abroad or the organizing committee by post.
