This Sunday announced the list of 23 players who will represent Cuba in commitments corresponding to FIFA dates in June, Youth stands out in the selected squad, with several players from the U-20 squad participating in last year’s World Cup qualifiers.

On this occasion, coach Pablo Elior Sánchez called up Romário Torres from Artemisa, the champion of the 106th National Soccer League and was selected as the best player of the same without the age of 20.
Torres recently joined the National club discipline of the Uruguayan league and is listed as one of Cuba’s most talented players in midfield.
Another novelty in the squad is striker Eldair Ruiz, who has excelled in the Gibraltar League.
Once again, Sánchez relies on right-backs from Ávila, Grebel Palma and Santiago’s midfielder, Eduardo Hernández, who together with Niecer Sando and Roberto Caballero appear as the only players in the Cuban national championship.
“We must say that it is not necessary that these 23 players will participate in the Gold Cup later this month. Obviously, here is the base of the team. The friendlies will work to evaluate specific needs and individual performances”, the Cuban Football Association Secretary General Miguel Angel Diaz declared.
Full Cuba will play friendly matches against their teammates from Chile and Uruguay on 11 and 20 June.

Captain Erich Hernandez leads the midfield along with juniors Yuri Perez, Carlos Denilson and the aforementioned Torres, Caballero and Sandow.
Finally, rookies Eldair Ruiz, Maykel Reyes, William Pozzo, Daniel Diaz, Yasnier Matos, and Luis Javier Paradela anchor the attack.
