In this year’s BIT in Milan, one of the most important in Europe and around the world, 1,100 exhibitors from 66 countries participated and will focus on the exhibition thematic areas of leisure, with proposals for destinations and services, as well as BeTech, for digital services, and Mice Village, about the meeting industry.
The Cuban delegation attending the event, which closed its doors on Tuesday in the northern Italian city, also included other executives from hotel chains, such as Gran Caribe, Cubanacán, Islazul, and Gaviota, as well as the affiliated companies, including Meliá, Iberostar, Blue Diamonds Resorts, and ATG Hotels.
There are also specialists from other tourist entities on the island, such as Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Ecotur, Havanatur, San Cristóbal and Paradiso, the non-hotel company Cubasol, and the transport company Transtur.
The Italian market occupies ninth place among the main sources of tourism on the island, and this event is an opportunity to update it on the qualities that make Cuba unique, the subject of the current campaign in the promotion for that destination, the source said.
