On the last date of the day for the culture of the municipality of Santiago de Cuba, literature continues to be discussed, on this occasion at the Literary Workshop Debate Meeting, sponsored by the Miguel Matamoros Municipal Culture House, dedicated to the Centennial of the poet Josefina GarcÃa – Marruz BadÃa, known artistically as Fina GarcÃa Marruz.
In that event, the exhibition Finezas de la poesia was inaugurated, in the project Universo de papel, by the writer Mirna Figueredo and in collaboration with instructors and methodologists of visual arts, where the work of the writer is recreated from origami, drawing and painting.
Works in the genres of poetry, narrative, and children’s literature are presented in the competition, which is evaluated by a prestigious jury composed of creators from the patio, who, after debate sessions with the participants workshop leader, awards were given to the works. .of higher quality.
On the Day of Culture in Cuba, the 2nd small format Hall was also inaugurated, an opportunity to promote the creative work of art teachers in the system of cultural houses, and which also brings everyone who are the creators of plastic arts in Santiago de Cuba.
It is dedicated to 50 years of life and 30 years as a creator of the plastic artist Orlaides López; and presented the works of different techniques of visual arts: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics and Crafts, where the jury award those with the highest quality according to the evaluated parameters.
To end the day of culture in the municipality of Santiago de Cuba, Casa Josué PaÃs GarcÃa presents the performance of Son a la Rumba with music and dance groups that perform popular Cuban genres.
As part of the cultural gala, the Sin Barreras Project was recognized on its tenth anniversary.
