It is not something foreign to Cubans but rather typical of an event that marked a change in the thinking and actions of men and women for more than six decades, when the revolution included among its first tasks the instruction and education of the entire population.
Many difficult periods have passed, not only because of the economic difficulties inherited by an impoverished society at the time of the revolutionary victory but also because the country was forced to move forward amid the thousands of tricks of the North American government in its various administrations, from campaigns to Spreading everything from discredit and distrust to threats, sabotage, attacks, and heinous murders. Added to this was the downfall of the socialist camp with all its consequences, as well as natural disasters and epidemics with fatal effects on people’s lives, as was the case with the COVID virus, and many other perversities of the Empire aimed at stifling crop cultivation and animal husbandry.
The culture remained faithful to its sovereign state and remained faithful to Fidel and history, protected by ideas, ideas that no one could kill, despite the current difficult economic circumstances and the media dispute that targeted some skeptics, pessimists and lack of faith. Unlike many others, they have transformed resistance into creativity and participated in proposals and actions in response to the necessary changes, always based on the principles of the revolution.
Writers and artists, an essential part of the culture, are focusing on a new congress of their organization, which will open a wide space for debates on the necessary strengthening of their purpose and the increase of creativity in line with the values that identify the Cuban population and harmonize at the same time, the measures in line with all development goals of the nation.
It is about contributing to the progress of all the processes in which the country finds itself, with a strong creative spirit and in line with the compelling economic growth and ideological, aesthetic and cultural demands of the current period.
