The Cuban informal currency market woke up today with the US dollar (USD) located at $255.00 CUP, a stable value compared to the previous day. The trend itself is shown this Thursday in the euro (€) and the freely convertible currency (MLC).
The official currency of the European Union (EU) marks its passage through the streets and businesses of Cuba; It remains at $265.00 CUP for each euro. Meanwhile, MLC is currently worth $235.00 CUP, after reaching its all-time high a few days ago.
Amid continued price instability in all areas of Cuba today, the values ​​of foreign currencies are expected to increase before the end of the year. Based on how the informal market has performed in recent months, a sudden change in this aspect is not expected. An upward trend should prevail for the remainder of 2023.
The Mexican peso has gained value
The Mexican peso (MXN) gained value today against the US dollar. It was sold this Thursday at $17.50 for each greenback. The current appreciation of the Aztec currency is 0.66%, a level reached just before the war in the Middle East.
As of Thursday a maximum of $17.6325 and a minimum of $17.7958 was recorded for each USD. This is the sixth day of gains for the currency with a cumulative advance of 3.57%.
