The Cuban informal currency market woke up today with the US dollar (USD) located at $255.00 CUP, a stable value compared to the previous day. The trend itself is shown this Thursday in the euro (€) and the freely convertible currency (MLC).
The official currency of the European Union (EU) marks its passage through the streets and businesses of Cuba; It remains at $265.00 CUP for each euro. Meanwhile, MLC is currently worth $235.00 CUP, after reaching its all-time high a few days ago.
Amid continued price instability in all areas of Cuba today, the values of foreign currencies are expected to increase before the end of the year. Based on how the informal market has performed in recent months, a sudden change in this aspect is not expected. An upward trend should prevail for the remainder of 2023.
