Good deeds should be everyday things, but a day (or in this case, a week) of celebrating them makes us pay more attention to what we can do in our daily lives for the people around us.
She is part of the spirit of the Day of Good Builders (DBA), an initiative that was born in Israel in 2007 and to which Costa Rica joined in 2014. This year there are 108 participating countries.

Good deeds day is normally on April 16, but the official week of celebration will begin on April 10. From now on, people, civil societies, companies and public institutions are called to reflect on their good deeds.
“Sometimes we do good things every day, but we stop appreciating them. Or because we stop seeing a good thing done. We are all called to different levels, as people, as civil society, private companies and public institutions”, Villagra pointed out.

How to participate?
It can be a part of good works in two ways. The first is the record of the existence and maturity of the plan, by which solidarity is exercised without the need of other partners. All kinds of public, private, and civil actions come here; Projects can be carried out by individuals. Yo

If there are no defined ideas, no problem, in the same place you can find options for starting a party or organizing other projects to make joint ventures. Two catalogs are found on the page. One of them is a request, the other an offer.
Villagra explained that the card is proposed to people, companies or societies that have an idea of good works already defined, with which they want to receive volunteers, but have some needs that they cannot fulfill. These can be snacks, or materials, or even the hands of people who come to help.
“Then another organization that sees the catalog and says, ‘Look, this project is missing, I want to take it,'” he explained.
Rather, it is in the form of an offer where the organization says “we have a group of volunteers and we are looking for where to support. There, they could touch on other projects,” Villagra said.
As if this were not enough, if you don’t know where to start, the site gives you a series of ideas, some simple, some more elaborate, on how to do good to others.
Registration for projects is now open and will close on April 20.
We celebrate volunteering
Villagra explained that this year the DBA organization will develop a special event to highlight the roles of public, private and civil society in the following categories: the most important project, with the greatest scope and impact, and the highest activation of volunteers.
In order to select the winners, the projects will be registered from 2022 and until April 20, 2023 and can be supported by various judges for their experience.
