Delhi: New unlock guideline announced, malls and markets to open on odd-even basis

Delhi Unlock: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today unveiled a new unlock plan. The lockdown will continue from Monday in the capital, but some concessions are being made. “Markets and malls will be open on odd-even basis from 10 am to 8 pm,” Kejriwal said. So the shops will be open for 7 days. Odd-even will also apply to mall shops.

At the same time, a private office can be opened with a capacity of 50%. Essentials shops will open every day. The Delhi Metro train is also being started with a capacity of 50 percent. In the government office, only 100 percent of Group A officers and 50 percent below them will work. 100% of the employees involved in essential services will be able to work.

An estimated 400 cases of corona have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate has also come down to about 0.5 percent. Given the positivity rate, the situation is under control. With this, the Delhi government has decided to reopen the markets. The Chief Minister said that the fight against Corona has been fought by Delhi in a strong manner. Now is the time to get the economy back on track.

“We are ready to face the third wave of corona. We have formed a pediatric task force keeping in mind the possibility of children being infected,” Kejriwal said. This task force will take care of the preparations for the treatment of children. So 2 genome sequencing labs will also be started in Delhi to identify the new variants of Corona.

Talking about preparations for a possible third wave of Corona, Kejriwal said, “We have talked to experts.” It has been decided that in the third wave in Delhi, preparations will be started considering 37,000 cases. Accordingly, covid bed and ICU bed will be prepared. Oxygen plant will be installed in 64 hospitals. That work has already begun. A buffer stock of drugs to help treat covid will also be created.

The Chief Minister said that there was a severe shortage of oxygen in the last few days. In view of this, IGL has been asked to start a 150-tonne oxygen plant. 420 metric tonnes of oxygen will be stored in Delhi. 25 oxygen tankers will also be purchased.

“A team of doctors has been formed,” Kejriwal said. Which will tell about the drugs on WhatsApp, whether those drugs are suitable for corona treatment.
