As consumers, we often rely on rankings when making decisions about destinations, transportation methods, and costs. That’s why it’s important to be able to have comprehensive analysis in certain industries to help make informed decisions.

Points Guy, a well-known local in the travel industry, recently published its seventh annual ranking in the United States. This basic order has become the reference of many travelers, almost like a kind of travel “bible”.

In its 2023 report, The Points Guy is evaluated by four factors, attributing to them different percentages of the total score. These factors are: recommendation (30% of the total rating), overall experience (25%), cost and reach (20%), loyalty program (25%). These ratings have chosen the top ten airlines in the country this year.

“Our team at The Points Guy has spent countless hours analyzing the airline industry over the past year to create a comprehensive guide to identify which airlines meet travelers’ expectations, helping consumers make better informed choices when planning their vacations,” said Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy. Pointe, with the praise of their instruments. Kelly also said he used public data from the Department of Transportation, airline financial reports and other sources in the analysis.

For the fifth year in a row, Delta ranked no. 1, with affordable being the only category in which it was not ranked among the top. But unlike most competitors, the Atlanta-based airline excelled on 84% of its flights.

For Southwest Airlines this has not been a good year, as it was placed second in 2022 and reached fifth place this year, having perished due to the winter crisis, when it collapsed due to a large number of flight cancellations.

American Airlines, the largest airline in the country, has occupied four or five places in a row for several years, generating great dissatisfaction in terms of customer service and flight cancellations.
