The bi-directional cycle path project that crosses a large part of the avenue Francisco I Madero of Pachuca was agreed upon with neighbors and dealers, so it goes on despite the protests of some dissatisfied, reported the owner, Ministry of Mobility and Transport (Semoth), Lyzbeth Robles Rodriguez.
After the tender for the new project of the Polygon for Sustainable Mobility, which will include a cycle path with an investment of 10 million pesos, it will pass through the avenues Francisco I. Madero, Universidad, and the boulevard Javier Rojo Gómez and have a length of 3 thousand 400 meters.
The work, being carried out in conjunction with the Infrastructure Secretariat, is expected to take three to four months, so the owner of Semoth hopes the Pachuqueos will be able to take advantage of this by the end of the year.
However, when questioned about the demonstrations by a group of traders who asserted that the implementation would be counterproductive to their businesses, Robles Rodriguez affirmed this It’s not an improvised project, and it was agreed upon also with chambers of commerce, so it also benefits this population group.
“This project is not taken for granted; it has been socialized with more dependencies; even the Canaco accompanied us, both to novices and to homes where the benefits of the cycle path were explained to them,” he commented in an interview with the media.
According to the state official, these benefits consist of providing them with other mobility options using sustainable methods and also promoting a new form of business for the cycling population.
The route that the cycle path will cover starts from the Revolución roundabout and continues along Avenida Madero until it meets and resumes with Avenida Universidad Rojo Gomez Blvd. to the Ro de las Avenidas viaduct to connect the entire sustainable estate.
